Vic
Malatesta, owner and operator of Vic's All Star Kitchen, was born in Los
Angeles, California. His family has been in the restaurant business for
years. He moved to Northern California where he attended high school and
college, and then continued the family restaurant tradition.
Vic is a 20 year resident of Pleasanton. His children Michael,
Mark and Amy all graduated from Foothill High School. A former Foothill
Booster Club President for four years, Vic has teamed his love of sports
with his passion for good food to create a solid dining experience with
a local sports theme. Visitors to Vic's will find memorabilia and framed
sports photos from many of the local sports heroes and local schools.
Vic's concept of a community restaurant where we recognize local middle
and high school youth has made this a popular place for the local people.
In the late afternoon and evenings, the restaurant is opened
up for banquets, receptions, parties and special events. "We can
work with any budget" says Vic, who wishes to encourage the community
spirit of fun and dining.
Vic worked for five years at Tia Maria in Emeryville, for
two years as a Food and Beverage Director for Holiday Inn and then as
the East Bay District Manager for Pepsico's Taco Bell chain. After that,
he worked five years as a restaurant consultant also was the Food Services
Director for Chevron Corporation in Bishop Ranch. This experience gave
him a broad understanding of the restaurant business and customer care.
He has brought his love of sports and of the community together to create
VIC'S ALL STAR KITCHEN. Vic's is open 7 days a week from 7 am to 2 pm.
with patio dining as well as private meeting rooms available for groups
of 25-90 people.
Vic
brought together the team that he wanted for his own restaurant in 1994.
Since then, he has enjoyed a loyal and popular following. While being
an active member of the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce, Pleasanton Downtown
Association and a member of the Tri-Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau,
Vic also finds the time to actively support the local schools and their
activities. In his spare time, he enjoys time with his new bride, Terri.
